This presentation answers a number of questions and includes multiple real-world examples of companies using topology optimization to design for and enhance the benefits of additive manufacturing. It also includes a hands on session using Inspire for additive manufacturing example.

The first portion of the workshop demonstrated the process for designing a lightweight composite part including draping, ply shape concept design, and laminate detailed design within HyperWorks. The second portion of the workshop demonstrated the simulation of an injection molded part utilizing HyperWorks and Altair Partner Alliance solutions.
