CAEfatigue VIBRATION – BASE (CF_BASE): The CF_BASE module is designed to provide the user with the random response and fatigue solver for structures excited by single random input PSDs. Outputs from the analysis include spectral moments, zero crossings, peaks per second, irregularity factor, RMS stress or strain, mean stress, mean stress plus RMS stress or strain, fatigue damage, log of damage, fatigue life, log of life, frequency values at peak structural response plus other outputs.
The CF_BASE module will allow the structure to be excited by deterministic loads including single sine waves, harmonic sine waves, sine sweeps, and even deterministic loads with random PSD loads with or without static loading. Any number of random PSDs, static loads and deterministic loads can be combined in CF_BASE.
The module also need model FRF inputs, which can come from OptiStruct, Nastran, Ansys or Abaqus for virtually any size model. FRF files in the Terabyte size have been processed with CF_BASE for models with more than 10 million elements. If you have the computing capacity to handle the solver analysis, you can process the random response and fatigue output results with CF_BASE.
CAEfatigue VIBRATION – MULTI (CF_MULTI): The CF_MULTI provides all the functionality of CF_BASE but extends the Input PSD loading to include multiple events with multiple input PSDs and cross PSDs per event. Even if your input files are time based, CF_MULTI provides the User with the capability to convert multiple events with multiple time signals into Power Spectral Density Matrices (PSDM). This functionality, provided through an included module called TIME2PSD, allows a User who has durability test data (in RPC or CSV format) to efficiently and accurately convert from the time domain to the frequency domain and use the PSDM output event file in a subsequent CF_MULTI fatigue analysis. CF_MULTI has process jobs with 100+ events containing 100+ time signals each.
Both CF_BASE and CF_MULTI also include a graphical user interface called CFG, that allows a User the ability to view PSD data (input PSD, transfer function, response PSD), PSDM data, output results based on events and fringe results displayed over the model with the ability to turn on or off parts of the model as needed.
