Altair Engineering Canada, Ltd., Hosts Product Design Innovation Seminar
New Altair subsidiary will demonstrate how computer-aided engineering improves the bottom line.
TROY, Mich., November 10, 2005 - Robert Little, president of the recently established Altair Engineering Canada, Ltd., is pleased to announce that the company will host a Product Design Innovation seminar on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at LeDome, 1173 North Service Road East, Oakville, Ont., Canada. The seminar, which runs from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., will showcase design innovations by companies currently using Altair HyperWorks®
, a comprehensive suite of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools that enables designers and engineers to efficiently model and study complex structures and assemblies to optimize design performance.
"This seminar will demonstrate how Canadian manufacturing companies are using Altair Hyperworks to develop innovative product designs, as well as increase their market share and profitability," said Little. "Innovation in product design and development is the key to success in an increasingly competitive global marketplace. For example, the "Innovation 2005" survey by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) reported that 74 percent of executives will increase spending on innovation in 2005, up from 64 percent in 2004. Unfortunately, less that 50 percent of those surveyed were satisfied with the financial returns on these investments in the past."
Little continued, "Altair Engineering is focused on providing customer value by bringing the worlds of design and engineering together to drive innovation, and in doing so, enabling real change in the product development process. We help our customers manage constructive change by combining industry-leading technology with the talents of extraordinary people. Working closely together, we can ensure that Altair customers receive maximum return on their technology investment. This highly effective collaboration makes us unique in the marketplace."
Seminar speakers will include representatives from Honda R&D Americas, Inc., Dofasco, Dura Automotive Systems (Canada) Ltd., General Motors of Canada, Ltd., Helios/Oceana, Multimatic, and Research In Motion.
