ESRD Adds the Benefits of FEA-based Simulation Apps to the Altair Partner Alliance

CAE Handbook from ESRD has been added to the Altair Partner Alliance (APA), providing users with easy access to the benefits of FEA-based simulation apps for the standardization and automation of recurring analysis and process workflows. Striking another blow for the democratization of simulation, CAE Handbook enables swift deployment of simulation apps with all necessary safeguards. Correct and consistent results can therefore be achieved by both experts and users with little or no numerical simulation experience.

Founded in 1989, ESRD has an impressive track record for developing advanced numerical software products. With CAE Handbook, it offers a straightforward and highly intuitive framework for deploying FEA-powered templates that provide reliable, verified solutions. Fitting into existing analysis processes, it enables institutional knowledge and best practice to be captured, creating a valuable corporate asset. CAE Handbook 11.0 comes complete with more than 90 preloaded simulation apps, including a NAFEMS Benchmark model set.

“CAE Handbook realizes powerful benefits in virtually any solid mechanics engineering simulation environment where ‘similar but different’ simulations are performed,” said Gordon, Senior Account manager for ESRD. “Because no training is needed to browse, load, update, solve and generate engineering results from simulation apps, repetitive simulations can be offloaded from FEA experts to more junior, less experienced engineers. As well as boosting productivity, it supports much greater complexity and fewer simplifying assumptions than classical engineering handbooks.”

Within the APA, CAE Handbook replaces another ESRD software product, StressCheck. Simulation apps are relevant to any organization interested in corporate standardization of numerous engineering computational simulations, most notably in the aerospace and transportation sectors.
