MCalibration by PolymerFEM, LLC.

Material Models, Calibration, Experimental Data

MCalibration is a software tool to help select and calibrate advanced, nonlinear material models for finite element (FE) simulation. MCalibration uses powerful nonlinear search algorithms to quickly find the best material parameters for experimental test data.

Working with any material model requires determining appropriate material parameters from experimental data. This can be challenging when the advanced material model is non-linear. To facilitate the parameter extraction, PolymerFEM has developed MCalibration. This software application enables semi-automatic extraction of all material parameters from experimental data. MCalibration makes it easy to work with accurate viscoelastic and viscoplastic material models.

Why MCalibration?

Easy Material Model Calibration

Viscoplastic material models can be challenging to work with. MCalibration makes it easy to examine different models.

Calibration of Viscoplastic Models

MCalibration can be used to semi-automatically calibrate non-linear viscoplastic material models.

Experimental Data Cleanup

MCalibration can be use to quickly resample, smooth, shift, and clean experimental data.

Key Features

Calibrate Bergstrom-Boyce Material Model

Quick and accurate calibration of the Altair®; Radioss®; and PolyUMod versions of the Bergstrom-Boyce material model.

Calibrate PolyUMod Three Network Model

Quick and accurate calibration of the Three Network (TN) model from the PolyUMod library.

Calibrate PolyUMod TNV Model

The TNV model is an advanced and accurate viscoplastic material model for all types of polymers. MCalibration makes it easy to use this model.

Virtual Experiments of Material Behavior

MCalibration can be used to quickly examine the predicted stress-strain response for loading conditions that have not be tested.

Clean Up Experimental Data

Experimental data is often not in a format suitable for material model calibration. MCalibration contains powerful features for cleaning data.

Compare Different Material Models

MCalibration can be used to compare different material model predictions, enabling the user to select the best most for a given material.
